Pełny opis: |
Lectures: 20 h (10 meetings, 2 x 45 min.) 1. Nucleic acids: structure, function, biosynthesis. 2. Protein:synthesis, folding, degradation and turnover. 3. Regulation of transcription and translation. 4 - 5. Functional roles of protein (hemoglobin, myoglobin, actin, myosin, molecular motors). 6 - 7. Pathways of aminoacids biosynthesis and degradation. 8. Overview of nitrogen metabolism. 9. Biosynthesis and degradation of polysachrides. 10. Lipid metabolism: cholesterol and plasma lipoprotein. Laboratories: 40 h (8 x 5h) The laboratory covers topics related to practical aspects of preparation and analysis of biological material of plant and fungal origin and the application of chromatographic, spectrophotometric and electrophoretic techniques in biochemical analyzes of bioactive compounds: organic extraction of alkaloids, isolation of peptides from cell hydrolyzates, protein purification and electrophoresis, detection of enzymatic activities, purification and identification of amino acids, adsorption chromatography. |
