Pełny opis: |
The lecture aims to learn about the classification and mechanisms of action of antibiotics and the methods used to determine antibiotic susceptibility. Mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance of microorganisms and the problem of bacterial multidrug resistance (alarm pathogens) will be discussed. Application of molecular methods for typing bacteria and detection of antibiotic resistance genes and genes encoding virulence factors. Familiarity with serological methods in the diagnosis of pathogenic bacteria, yeasts and fungi Laboratory Determination of antibiotic susceptibility (disk-diffusion method, MIC determination, E-tests), phenotypic methods for determining mechanisms of drug resistance. Detection of genes encoding virulence factors (surface antigens and toxins) by PCR; typing of strains by BOX-PCR technique. Serotyping of selected microorganisms using latex tests and antisera |
