The curse describes the main principles of chemistry and is divided into following topics:

1. Matter and Measurements, Main Laws and Principles of Chemistry

2. Atom, The Atomic Theory, elements, atomic orbitals and electron configuration, Periodic Table and periodic laws, atomic number and atomic mass, Bohr model of the hydrogen atom.

3. Compounds, chemical nomenclature, chemical bonds, hybridization, VSEPR theory

4. Chemical Formulas and Equations,

5. Kinetics, reaction rate, reversible reactions, types of chemical reactions

6. Thermochemistry and Thermodynamics

6. Chemistry of solutions, types of concentrations, dissociation, hydrolysis, solubility and product of solubility

7. Acids, bases, theories of acids and bases

8. Oxidation-Reduction Reactions,

8. pH, buffers, complex compounds

9. Electrochemistry

10. Titration, titration curves

The laboratory covers the following issues:

1. Methods of expressing concentrations of solutions and preparation of solution at exact concentration.

2. Basics of qualitative analysis (basic concepts: sensitivity of reactions, specific reactions, selective reactions, group reagent, etc.); characteristic reactions of selected cations and anions.

3 Titration methods and indicators

4. Solid substance analysis - identification of water-soluble salt.

5. Qualitative analysis of Cl- and NO3- in water samples.

6. Analyzis of gaseous substances by absorption methods.
